Passion

After confessing Jesus to be my Savior and Lord at age 5, I experienced his special calling on my life at age 15 where I knew that I was going to serve him in some way professionally. Growing up in a small country Baptist church I had no concept of what the possibilities might be for me to serve Jesus with my life. I am thankful for the Pastors, Pastor’s wives, other ministry leaders, and my faithful parents who saw this in me and encouraged me to continue seeking Jesus and following him.

Taking God at his Word, I committed myself to reading and studying his word and challenge myself to work at knowing God and learning to love him just as he had always loved me from the beginning of creation. I went on a summer mission trip through New Tribes Mission and then I attended Moody Bible Institute to help me train for full-time ministry and discern what that might look like. The Lord patiently showed me that a life lived serving him is in the normal everyday activities where his goodness shines through us to a dark and lost world. Through all of the experiences and opportunities the Lord has blessed me with, my most treasured moments are those that were spent raising my children, and sharing my faith with them.

My passion for the women of Living Hope is for them to know the transforming power of the work of the Holy Spirit as they grow in knowledge and desire for their Savior. I pray that their lives will reflect this transformation as they live out their faith courageously facing every life circumstance with confidence in their identity in Christ and full assurance of his love for them. I desire to see those who have lived a life of faithfulness sharing their wisdom and love of the Lord with the younger generations, encouraging each other towards loving others and serving the Lord in their homes and neighborhoods. I have been so blessed to serve at Living Hope and look forward to however the Lord will use me in the future!
